Low Deposit Casinos

Low deposit casinos let you start with a small amount, but the advertised minimum is only one of several numbers that matter. This guide explains the difference between the cashier minimum, the minimum needed to qualify for a bonus and the minimum withdrawal, how payment methods and fees affect small deposits, and how to budget sensibly.

Operators we track

Listed in the order set by our editors. This is a commercial list: “Visit site” links are affiliate links. We do not rate operators with stars; reviews are linked only once they are published.

Ontario: none of these operators appeared in the iGaming Ontario directory when we checked on 24 October 2026, and several of them exclude Ontario residents in their terms. Elsewhere in Canada, check the operator's terms for your province before you register.

Key points

  • The minimum deposit is the smallest amount the cashier accepts, and it can differ by payment method.
  • The minimum to qualify for a bonus is a separate figure and is often higher.
  • The minimum withdrawal can be higher than the minimum deposit, so a small balance may not be withdrawable.
  • Method fees, network fees and currency conversion take a larger share of small deposits.
  • A low minimum says nothing about whether a site may serve players in your province.

Three different minimums

A "low deposit casino" is simply one whose cashier accepts small deposits. The number in the headline is rarely the only minimum that matters, though. Before you deposit, look for three separate figures.

MinimumWhere to find itExample from operator terms (checked 24 Oct 2026)
Minimum depositCashier or payments page, often per methodHercules Casino lists a €10 minimum deposit
Minimum to qualify for a bonusBonus termsKingmaker's welcome bonus terms require at least 30 CAD
Minimum withdrawalWithdrawal or general termsHercules Casino lists a €30 minimum withdrawal

The gap between these figures is the practical point. A deposit that meets the cashier minimum may not qualify for the welcome offer at all, and a small balance may sit below the withdrawal minimum. Neither operator above appeared in the iGaming Ontario directory, and naming them here does not mean they may serve players in your province.

Payment method minimums and fees

Each payment method can have its own minimum and maximum, and the lowest figure advertised often applies to only one of them.

Currency is another hidden cost. Many offshore operators hold balances in euros or US dollars rather than Canadian dollars, so a small deposit can lose part of its value to conversion on the way in and again on the way out.

Small deposits and bonuses

Welcome offers usually need a qualifying deposit above the cashier minimum, and the wagering requirement scales with what you deposit. As a hypothetical example, a $20 deposit with a 100% match and 35x wagering on deposit plus bonus means $1,400 of bets before the bonus can be withdrawn. Typical terms also cap the maximum bet while a bonus is active and may exclude some payment methods.

If you only want to try a site with a small amount, it is often simpler to play without a bonus, or to look at offers with lighter terms. Our guides to how casino bonuses work, no deposit bonuses and free spins explain what to check.

Budgeting with small deposits

Low deposits and no deposit offers are not the same thing. A no deposit bonus gives you a small amount to play without paying in, but usually with strict cashout caps and verification before any withdrawal. A low deposit is your own money, so it is yours to withdraw once you meet the minimum withdrawal, as long as you have not accepted a bonus that locks it in. If the aim is simply to try a site cheaply, compare both routes and pick the one whose terms you understand.

Check eligibility in your province first

A low minimum deposit says nothing about whether a site is allowed to serve you. Canada regulates gambling province by province, and in Ontario only operators listed in the iGaming Ontario directory are regulated for Ontario players. The casino bonus comparison guide on our homepage explains how to check this before you sign up.

Play within your means

Whatever you decide, set a deposit limit before you start, take breaks, and use cool-off or self-exclusion tools if play stops being fun. The Responsible Gambling Council has free information and support for players in Canada.

Frequently asked questions

Often it does not. The cashier minimum and the bonus qualifying deposit are separate figures, and the bonus minimum is frequently higher. Kingmaker's welcome bonus terms, for example, require at least 30 CAD. Read the bonus terms for the qualifying amount, the wagering requirement and any excluded payment methods before you deposit if the bonus matters to you.

Many casinos set a minimum withdrawal that is higher than the minimum deposit. Hercules Casino, for example, lists a 10 euro minimum deposit but a 30 euro minimum withdrawal. If your balance is below the withdrawal minimum, you will need to keep playing or leave it in the account. Check this figure before depositing small amounts.

There can be. Some casinos charge for certain methods, e-wallets may charge to load funds or convert currency, and crypto deposits carry a network fee that does not shrink with the amount. Converting Canadian dollars into a euro or US dollar balance also costs money. On small deposits these costs are a bigger share of what you actually play with.
